Dr. Khyrun Nahar Shaila completed her MBBS from Jahurul Islam Medical College & Hospital and achieved MD in
Dermatology & Venereology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. During her post graduation she was trained extensively in all aspects of diseases of skin, hair and nail. She also has the experience of working with the legendary Professor MU Kabir Chowdhury.
After completing her post-graduation,
she joined Barrister Rafiqul Haque Addin Medical College Hospital and served as consultant and Head of the Department of Dermatology. She also has experience of serving as consultant at BIHS General Hospital. She is a life member of Bangladesh Dermatological Society, also a member of Bangladesh Academy of Dermatology & Psoriasis Awareness Club.
EXPERIENCE
She has a calm and empathetic attitude towards patients. Besides being a good listener she has excellent written and verbal communication.
Though in recent years the rise of cosmetology that mostly focuses on aesthetics, Dr. Shaila always wanted to concentrate on being a clinical dermatologist. These include treating skin infections, acne, psoriasis, burns, eczema, dermatitis, vitiligo, melasma, freckles, hair fall, allergy, and other skin conditions. She also treats venereal diseases. She performs several dermatological procedures like Electrocautery & electrosurgery, cryosurgery, intralesional injections, skin biopsies, nail surgery, etc. She also performs minor aesthetic procedures like chemical peeling and removal of skin tags.
She is treating patients of all age groups & skilled in managing diabetes-related skin problems.
